The bronze plaque declares the Juniata 8th Street Bridge as the "Freedom Bridge" The memorial plaque is located in a small park near the west end of the south side of the bridge. It is paired with an abstract sculpture of a book on a stand with a silhouette of a kneeling soldier, a rifle, and a flag blowing in the breeze.
