The church of St Mary was built in early medieval times within the north-eastern corner of the earthworks of a Roman fort called Canovium.

The church which is located in the small hamlet of Caerhun in the Conwy valley is reached via a short lane from the B5106.

There is room for two bells in the bellcote but only one bell dated is 1657 is present.

A very nice historic church and bellcote in a beautiful location.
