The highest-grossing play on Broadway will also be performed in Vigo. It is "The function that goes wrong", a show that mixes influences among which is the humor of Monty Python or the stories of Sherlock Holmes. Winner of the 2015 Olivier Award for Best Comedy, among other awards, this show presents an amateur theater group at the premiere of their mystery play in which everything that can go wrong, goes even worse.
Highly accident-prone, the actors battle against adversity throughout the performance, with consequences that will make the audience laugh out loud. It premiered in the West End in London in 2012, and since then more than eight million spectators have seen it on the best stages in more than 30 countries throughout the world, more than 450,000 in Spain. Now, the highest-grossing comedy on Broadway for two seasons comes to Vigo. Specifically, it will do so at the García Barbón. The show will be performed on April 8, 9 and 10 with tickets, from 16 euros, already on sale. The duration of the work is 1 hour and 40 minutes and is recommended for all audiences.
