NL Toen ik nog op de basisschool zat liep ik elke dag door deze straat. Ik vond het altijd al grappig dat hier de Kalverstraat was. In het Nederlandse Monopoly spel is het de duurste straat. De Kalverstraat ligt officieel in Amsterdam. Ik heb nog even gezocht maar verder geen informatie over de straat in De Meern maar niks gevonden. Het heeft waarschijnlijk te maken met de vroegere agrarische ligging van het gebied.
ENG When I was in primary school I walked down this street every day. I always thought it was funny that the Kalverstraat was here. In the Dutch Monopoly game it is the most expensive street. The Kalverstraat is officially located in Amsterdam. I searched for a while but no further information about the street in De Meern but found nothing. It probably has to do with the former agricultural location of the area.
