This YMCA building is located on the corner of West 10th and Peach Streets in downtown Erie, Pennsylvania. One of four YMCA branch locations in Erie County, this YMCA has gymnasiums, racquet ball courts, and a swimming pool. The YMCA of Greater Erie was founded in 1860 and the downtown YMCA building was constructed in 1910. A stone plaque on the side of the building states, "This building erected by the people of Erie to the glory of God the honor of Jesus Christ and for the welfare of men."
The postcard shows the building around the time it was built, sometime between 1910 and 1915. It was produced by S.W. Hauck and Sons in Erie, Pennsylvania and is available on the Digital Commonwealth of Massachusetts website.
