Canterbury Hall was built between 1879 and 1882. It served as an active place of worship for St George's Anglican Church at various times in the 19th and 20th centuries while St George's home church was not available.
The Centre stood as a major community social center for many years, hosting events from Senior's luncheons, Bazaars, Strawberry Socials, Arts and Crafts groups and Fundraising Dinners. Trenton's Scouts and Girl Guides also used the facility.
It is no longer owned by St George's, and now has been vacant for many years.
