Das Haus aus Löhndorf, das 1971 seinen Weg ins Freilichtmuseum fand, vereint zwei Funktionen unter einem Dach: Es ist Schule und Gemeindebackhaus zugleich.
Diese Besonderheit gab es nur in wenigen Orten an der unteren Ahr, im Neuwied-Koblenzer Raum und auf dem Hunsrück. Die Vorteile: Mit zwei gemeinschaftlichen Funktionen unter einem Dach konnten Bau- und Unterhaltskosten gespart werden.
