Mt. Olive Church and Cemetery - Ellis County, OK - Churchyard Cemeteries on Waymarking.com

In 1903 a corner of the William Blakely homestead was donated for the burial of Thomas Morris Alexander. Mt. Olive Methodist Episcopal Church soon followed, with land deeded to the church in 1910. The cemetery has about two hundred and twenty grave sites, with the Alexander family well represented. The church appears to be inactive; the building is in a state of some disrepair. One of those interred here is Louis Volkman. a child who lived but a week after birth. The text on his headstone is:
