In 1903 a corner of the William Blakely homestead was donated for the burial of Thomas Morris Alexander. Mt. Olive Methodist Episcopal Church soon followed, with land deeded to the church in 1910. The cemetery has about two hundred and twenty grave sites, with the Alexander family well represented. The church appears to be inactive; the building is in a state of some disrepair. However, the grounds are tended and the cemetery is still active. More information can be found at

Louis Volkman. a child who lived but a week after birth. The text on his headstone is:
