About the ride - The Story:
"Baron 1898 is themed after a Dutch gold mine. The story tells of Gustave Hooghmoed, who one day finds gold in a cave (the Heksenbult) and builds a beautiful mining complex called Baron 1898. However, the white women do not agree: they guard the gold and try to prevent Baron Hooghmoed from finding comrades to descend into the mine shaft and mine gold."

About the ride - The Ride itself:
"The chain takes the train to a height of 30 meters in just a few seconds. The lift hill has an angle of 45 degrees. At the top of the shaft tower, the train rides a little further down, after which it is suspended for two seconds. At this stop-before-you-drop, visitors look 35 meters straight down. After this, the cable 'breaks' through the white women and the train falls 37.5 meters down, with a steepest angle of 87 degrees. The train shoots into a tunnel: the gold mine, which is filled with fog: the white women. After this, the track exits the tunnel again and goes through an Immelmann, half a loop followed by half a corkscrew. Immediately afterwards, an action photo is taken of the train. The train then goes over the square with a zero-g-roll, an elongated corkscrew, after which a very sharp spiral follows. Then comes a small camelback, or bunny-hop and a bend and the train turns into the braking section, where it is slowed down slowly and drives back into the pick-up building."
