Saint Stephen Catholic Church is located on the corner of West Park and South Arlington Avenues in Niles, Ohio. The parish was founded in 1853 to serve Irish immigrants in the area. In 1888 construction was begun on a new church building. The cornerstone of the church has the year 1889 inscribed on it, but the cornerstone was not blessed until May 11, 1890. The first Mass in the new church took place on Christmas 1891. The church is built of red brick and has one tall spire.
