This is a fairly standard model of obelisk, with a shroud below the cap and a wreath of roses around the center. On the front shaft is a psychopomp, while the family name, "Rawls", is just below the plate, which reads:

Going 'round the monument to the right of the front panel, there is a cross with roses on the shaft, a wreath of roses on the panel, and an epitaph on the plinth:
Darling, we are parted here on Earth
and will join each other in Heaven.
On the back, there is a mourning dove on the shaft, an angel in supplication on the panel, and another epitaph:
Under the lowly mound,
under the heaped up sod,
Ye have only laid the casket,
while the jewel is with God.
On the remaining side is an orator on the shaft, a figure clutch a cross on the panel, and another epitaph:
Peaceful be thy silent slumber,
peaceful in the grave so low;
Thou no more will join our number,
thou no more our songs shall know.
Yet again we hope to meet thee,
when the day of life is fled;
There in Heaven with joy to greet thee,
where no farewell tear is shed.
Note the identifier, "Monumental Bronze Co. Bridgeport, CT." on the back, something you see every now and then.
