Karlskrona Hattfabrik was a hat factory in Stora Möllebacksgränd/Högabergsgatan, Karlskrona that existed from 1872-1972. Waldemar Rydow founded the factory and made hats with his four sisters. The hats were sold in the shop run by the brother, and over time, hats were sold throughout the country and abroad.
The factory continued to grow larger and got more machines. In 1947, 400,000 hats were produced annually and 250 people were employed at the factory.
The hats from Karlskrona Hattfabrik won several awards for their quality and appearance.
Over time, fashion changed and hats were no longer common.
In the end, only riding helmets were produced.
