The old Munfordville public draw well is located on the Hart county courthouse square in downtown Munfordville.
This well served the watering needs of the town for almost 2 centuries, but it has been filled in with concrete and sealed off in the modern era, when anyone can get water anytime they want simply by turning the faucet on.
In the last few years this old well has been topped with a bell, surrounded by benches, and beautifully landscaped. Provides a lovely place to sit and watch the daily life of Munfordville go by.
