Les travaux intérieurs, commencés en 1935, furent partagés entre l’atelier Jos. Villeneuve de Saint-Romuald, Ferland et Frères de Saint-Jean Chrysostome et Deslauriers et Fils de Québec. Vers 1940, à la demande de l’architecte Larue, la sculpture et l’ornementation sont confiés à un seul artiste, Lauréat Vallière, afin de préserver l’unité. Vallière termine l’intérieur de l’église en 1953, après quatorze ans de travail.
La chaire: - Expression artistique
La chaire est d’une réalisation notamment remarquable : Adam et Ève sous l’arbre du bien et du mal. À leurs pieds, quelques œuvres de la création, fruits et petits animaux. Le corps de la chaire est consacré à la vie de saint Dominique en sept tableaux et un grand aigle soutient le lutrin. Sur l’abat-voix qui surplombe la chaire sont représentés des démons et des anges. L’Adam sculpté par Vallière n’a pas de nombril car, selon l’artiste, le premier homme n’a pas été conçu mais créé.

The pulpit is particularly remarkable: Adam and Eve under the tree of good and evil. At their feet, some works of creation, fruits and small animals. The body of the pulpit is dedicated to the life of Saint Dominic in seven paintings and a large eagle supports the lectern. On the sounding board above the pulpit are depicted demons and angels. The Adam sculpted by Vallière has no navel because, according to the artist, the first man was not designed but created.
