“Natuurorganisatie IVN in Alphen aan den Rijn heeft een spannend en knus kabouter speelbos aangelegd vlakbij de kinderboerderij en de Zegersloot. Kinderen kunnen zich hier verwonderen en gezellig rondslenteren over het kabouterpad, spelen in de natuur, met de kabouters en kijken naar de kabouterhuisjes. Overal waar je kijkt ligt of hangt iets.

Een bezoek aan dit kabouter speelbos is leuk voor de kleinsten onder ons (0 - 6 jaar) en natuurlijk iedereen die dol is op kabouters. Een bezoek aan dit kabouterbos is leuk om te combineren met het speelbos en de speeltuinen welke er vlakbij gelegen zijn.”

In het oosten van het bos is het huis van kabouter Spillebeen. Deze deur en de vier ramen zijn mooi groen geverfd bevinden zich enigszins boven de grond. De kabouter zal een trapje nodig hebben. Verder is het voor de kabouter hier heerlijk wonen

Kabouter Spillebeen is bekend van het gelijknamige Nederlandse kinderliedje. Dat gaat zo:
Op een grote paddenstoel
Rood met witte stippen
Zat kabouter Spillebeen heen en weer te wippen
Plots brak toen de paddenstoel
Met een diepe zucht
Gingen allebei de beentjes, hoepla in de lucht!
Het is de bedoeling bij de laatste strofe dat het kind flink de lucht in gegooid wordt…

“Nature organization IVN in Alphen aan den Rijn has created an exciting and cozy gnome play forest near the petting zoo and the Zegersloot. Children can marvel here and stroll around on the gnome path, play in nature, with the gnomes and look at the gnome houses. Everywhere you look there is something lying or hanging.

A visit to this gnome play forest is fun for the little ones among us (0 - 6 years) and of course everyone who loves gnomes. A visit to this gnome forest is fun to combine with the play forest and the playgrounds that are located nearby.”

In the east of the forest is the house of gnome Spillebeen. This door and the four windows painted a nice green are located slightly above the ground. The gnome will need a ladder. Furthermore, it is wonderful to live here for the gnome

Kabouter Spillebeen is known for the Dutch children's song of the same name. It goes like this:
