The Chapel of San Roque in Ribadeo (Lugo) has the coat of arms in relief of the Lamas because D. Antonio de Lamas y Montenegro had the patronage of the Chapel, he sold the patronage to his brother-in-law, D. Salvador Menéndez de Navia and he left the patronage of his nephew D. José Antonio de Lamas Menéndez in an orthograde codicil in August 1719. (Ribadeo Antiguo, Francisco Lanza Alvarez, pages 258-260) The Lamas coat of arms in the Chapel of San Roque only has the arms of the Lamas with the crescent and five stars in the first quarter, the three fleurs-de-lis in the second quarter, and cut off, the flames. The drawing is from Ribadeo Antiguo. Of course, the llamas mean "Lamas" because, when crossing the Ria del Eo, the cousins ??who lived in Asturias were called "Llamas" and in Galicia they were called "Lamas". The exchange of the surname even reached the stones of arms with the motto of the coat of arms of the Pazo de Quintalonga using "Lamas" and the motto of the coat of arms of the Chapel of San Roque using "Llamas". The mystery is where the three fleurs-de-lis and the five-star crescent come from. The three golden lises maybe Bourbon, when the coat of arms was made official, or the ensign of the Holy Office"
