The structure is constructed with brick in a lattice-work design mounted on a cement base with eight metal poles supporting the wooden roof. The gazebo houses a time capsule buried in the cement base and a plaque that reads:

3. Designated in the deed to Dunn, N.C. as the
exact center of the original one acre
