The origin of the Agger is near Meinerzhagen, a town in the Märkische Kreis. It is passing the Bergische Land and ends in the Siegerland where it joins the Sieg. Its total length is 65km and the elevation is 386m. The name Agger comes from the Celtic language ans means floating water. The river can not be used for commercial shipping it is to small for that.
It feeds the Aggertalsperre, an artificial waterdam near Hackenberg in the Bergische Land. This sea is used as drinkingwater reservoir.
The source can be found by walking on a path which near to it. The coordinates points to the place on the path which is nearest to the source.
