"Located in the grassy Route 9 island across from Philipsburg Manor restoration, this 18-foot tall sculpture of the Headless Horseman and Ichabod Crane was created by artist Linda Perlmutter and built by Milgo/Bufkin Metal Fabrication. Its steel panels were chemically treated to oxidize a rich cinnamon hue.
The statue, weighing 11-tons, was unveiled on Halloween day, 2006.
