"Bagels & Beans is a Dutch chain of catering businesses that was founded in 1996. In January of that year, founders Ronald Bakker and Ninande Thio opened the first branch on the Ferdinand Bolstraat in Amsterdam. Bagels & Beans focuses specifically on the bagel type of bread, which is especially popular in the United States.

Bagels & Beans has 81 branches in the Netherlands. All branches are run by franchisees.

Bagels & Beans obtains coffee from the Janson family's plantation in Panama. In the field of coffee, it supports the organization Coffee Kids, among others. In addition, it supports a training project for (family of) employees on the coffee plantation in Panama."
