't Vitamientje has grown into a close-knit family business, where the second generation is now also rolling up their sleeves. It started with the mother, Irène Jeuris, who started the business in 1982. Soon her husband, Maurice Bollen, was brought in to make the purchases to meet the growing success of the business. Then Hendrik Bollen, their only son, after completing his commercial engineering studies, focused on expanding the wholesale business. His sister, An Bollen, followed him after her accounting studies as responsible for the stores.
The family is assisted by a great team of motivated employees. Every day they work for hours to provide our customers with fresh fruit and vegetables and delicious preparations. Many of them have been working for 't Vitamientje for years, so someone with 20 years of service is no exception...
Although Irène and Maurice can still be found in the business every day, the torch is quietly passed on to the second generation. And the third generation may also be on the way… Because grandson Axel, age 4, thinks it's great to be able to ride with all those carts and van nets!"
