Today the places of watch this ISS were in Spain.
In the point 1 it started to see the ISS from NW at about 19:53:27 (7:53 p.m.). It will travel from NW to the ESE, and reach the highest point of 82° at 19:56:48. It will lose sight of it about 19:59:11 just above the horizon. Magnitude -3.9.
In the point 2 it started to see the ISS from NW at about 19:54:58 (7:54 p.m.). It will travel from NW to the ESE, and reach the highest point of 69° at 19:58:19. It will lose sight of it about 19:59:11 some high in the sky. Magnitude -3.9.
Some time ago I made a sighting of the ISS from a very close site (the next window). On that occasion it was an international sighting.
On this occasion I have teamed up with Ariberna, from Orense.
I am very lucky because I live in a place where light pollution is one of the lowest in Spain. In fact Astrocamp is in this area.
This and the absence of cloud cover, in addition to the absence of the Moon, has allowed me to make one of the best views of the ISS so far.
The ISS appeared rapidly in the northwest, crossing the sky almost at its zenith above our heads.
I had the opportunity to take a few photographs and even a video. My daughters gasped at his passing.
After a couple of minutes, the ISS became invisible after losing sunlight, although it was still very high.
An incredible occasion. I am looking forward to a new opportunity.
From the highest point at Site 1 (A Valenzá) to the highest point at Site 2 (Nerpio), 91 seconds elapsed for the ISS. So the ISS traveled (1.51 min x 471,538 km/min) = 712 km
Thank you Ariberna for being a wonderful partner.
