This is an interesting location for a sculpture as a believe it is often overlooked.
A statue of a family located next to an Inageya supermarket titled "Sukoyakeku." Sukoyakeku is a coined word that means "to ask for healthy things" by combining "healthy" and "kiku", and it has become a word that Inageya employees cherish.
It is a bronze statue of young men and women (or parents) and infants standing at the entrance of the parking lot of Inageya on the street corner of Fuchu / Sengencho. I have overlooked it because the sidewalk is narrow while passing in front of me many times.
The explanation of the purpose of the erection is moving, so I will write it down.
"I want to nurture a healthy, rich and warm heart in a city with Inageya. I want to contribute to the realization of a healthier daily life and a healthier society through the store. I thought that and expressed that wish.
I think it's a precious ambition. It is a desire that all citizens want to share.
If you want, it's hard to see because the installation location is at the entrance of the parking lot, so I think you can enjoy it more slowly if you install it near the store entrance.
