Located west of Afton,Oklahoma near that BIGGEST McDonalds over the Interstate.
This one is easy to spot from the Highway.
It is another one of those tanks we pass by quite often on our way west.
I guess we like the west better than the east.
Both the Left Coast and Right coast have their own great attractions.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1958 (RLE) THE STATION IS LOCATED IN THE CENTRAL PART OF TOWN, 2 BLOCKS WEST OF THE RAIL ROAD DEPOT. IT IS A CYLINDRICAL TANK WITH A CONICAL ROOF, SUPPORTED BY A 4-LEGGED STEEL STRUCTURE ABOUT 100 FEET IN OVERALL HEIGHT. IT IS PAINTED SILVER IN COLOR. POINT OBSERVED WAS BALL AT APEX.

RECOVERY NOTE BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1961 (BRB) THE STATION WAS RECOVERED AND FOUND IN GOOD CONDITION.
