Turner Field was originally constructed in 1996 and use for the 1996 Summer Olympic Games and had a seating capacity of 85,000. After the Olympic were held the stadium was renovated into a 45,000 – seat Baseball Stadium, which has been the home of the Atlanta Braves since 1997. In 2000, Turner Field hosted the Major League Baseball All-Star Game. The stadium is equiped with a $10-million high definition video display and scoreboard and 59-luxury suites.
Turner Field is also home to the Atlanta Braves Museum. The Braves Museum contains more than 600 Braves artifacts and photographs. The Braves Museum is open Monday – Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on Sunday’s from 1-3 p.m., baseball season. From October to March the museum is open Monday – Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Museum admission is $5.00 on non-game days and $2.00 during the game and on game days.
