This free standing clock is located at Nash Community College in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. The clock is black metal and is positioned on a concrete slab set within a landscaped area surrounded by a two foot brick boarder. It stands about 12 feet high. The base is a square pedestal with three panels on each side. A round pole supports the clock. There are two gargoyles on each of the four sides below the clock faces. Each clock face has an ornate crown. An ornate top rests on the peak of the clock. Each of the four clock faces has a white background with decorative hands. Roman numerals are set at the hour marks with small black inverted triangles on the hour and small black lines for the minutes. There is a dedication plaque that reads:

Julian B. Fenner Memorial Clock

This memorial clock is dedicated to Representative
Julian B. Fenner for his contributions to Nash
Community College. In 1967, Representative Fenner
became the founding Chairman of the Board of Trustees
of Nash Technical Institute.

As a member of the North Carolina General Assembly, he
was a strong advocate for enhancing educational
opportunities for Nash County residents. His proposed
legislation led to the establishment and implementation
of the nursing program here at the College.

Given this day in loving memory of Julian B. Fenner
by his wife, Skipper.
