"The "Remember September 1944" monument is an abstract sculpture made of natural stone. A bronze relief with an image of a parachute and the John Frost Bridge is attached to the sculpture. Below are two bronze commemorative plaques.

The text on the first plaque reads:

'REMEMBER SEPTEMBER 1944
AIRBORNE WEST ARNHEM
17 SEPTEMBER 1987'.

The text on the second plaque reads:

'UNVEILED BY MAJOR-GENERAL
R.E. URQUHARD, CB DSO.'"
