The Rex is a former cinema, previously named "New York" located on the main city center street, Groest. The cinema started in 1913 and closed its doors (as a cinema) in 1984.

The building still has the cinema look and feel. Bright lights, an area above the entrance where the names of the new movies can be written.

Today it is a restaurant and a club, unfortuntately, due to Corona, currently closed.
