Taken from Wikipedia, "The Tome School is a private school in North East in Cecil County in the U.S. state of Maryland. Founded by Jacob Tome, it is one of the oldest schools in Maryland. It enrolls grades K–12. As of 2019, its principal is Christine Szymanski. The historical site in Port Deposit, which held the original school, is currently owned by the Bainbridge Development Corporation. Protected with cameras and live security guards, the corporation aims to preserve the remaining buildings that have not been victims of arson."
Taken from the guidebook, "At the southern end of town is the main entrance (L) to TOME SCHOOL, which is in the cliffs. This boy's boarding school was opened in 1900 by the Jacob Tome Institute, but in 1938 the trustees had to offer the school for sale because of depreciation in the Institute's holdings. A company organized by its alumni bought it."
