The railroad depot at Pierce City, Missouri, used by the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway Company. Pierce City, laid out in 1870 by Henry C. Young and Charles B. McAfee, was named for Andrew Peirce of Boston, then president of the St. Louis & San Francisco Railway Company.
