Voor het stadhuis in Venlo staat een bronzen beeld van een haan op een smalle natuurstenen sokkel. Het is de Jocushaan, het symbool van de Venlose carnavalsvereniging Jocus. Het beeld is gemaakt door Harry Mansvelders in 1986, ter gelegenheid van het 143jarig bestaan van de carnavalsvereniging in 1985. In hun woorden zijn er 13x11 jaren gepasseerd. Het beeld stond meer centraal op de Markt maar is recent tegen het stadhuis aan geplaatst.

In front of the town hall in Venlo is a bronze statue of a rooster on a narrow natural stone pedestal. It is the Jocushaan, the symbol of the Venlo carnival association Jocus. The statue was made by Harry Mansvelders in 1986, on the occasion of the 143th anniversary of the carnival association in 1985. In their words, 13x11 years have passed. The statue was more centrally located on the Markt, but was recently placed against the town hall.
