Guanajuato, a town capital of the state with the same name located NW if Mexico City, played an important role in the independence of Mexico. It was in this region that people initially raised against the government and here, literally where the timeline can be seen, took place the first major battle of the War of Independence.

Nowadays the place - a former granary - is used to host the Museum of Regional History and in one of its rooms there is this long timeline, with plenty of panels and details. All the major events of the independence process are documented in this timeline.
