The Schaukäserei (Show cheese dairy) called "Drei Zinnen" (Three peaks of Lavaredo) is a famous cheese dairy where you can see the production of different types of cheese during a guided tour. They have a big shop with their products, but also offering a lot of other products of the region. And a nice little cafe invites you to relax and cherish the good products.

Translated from their website:

"From milk to cheese

Who hasn't wondered how the holes get into the cheese!
With us you will learn the answer and much more.

At the beginning of the tour, a small museum awaits you, offering a look back into the past of the traditional milk processing and cheese production of our region. Afterwards a film shows impressive pictures from the region and tells about the daily life of the farmers.

From the visitors' gallery of the Alpine Dairy Three Peaks you can overlook the entire production process from the upper floor and watch our cheese masters at work.
A film additionally explains the work processes: from the curdling of the milk in the cheese maker to the salting. This process and the salting vats can also be observed from a gallery.

In a second production room fresh milk, cream and butter are produced. Our guests can also observe and understand this through a glass pane.

Our ripening cellar gives insight into the high art of storage and ripening of our cheese wheels. Here, each cheese gets the time it needs to mature and properly develop its aroma. Cheeses of different maturation stages can be seen, fresh from production, or shortly before sale. The secret of the holes in the cheese is also revealed here, and the various ways of maturing and refining cheese are explained.
You will also find some rustic witnesses and pictures that prove our long tradition of cheese making.

The in-house quality products of the Alpine Dairy Three Peaks may be tasted afterwards and are available for sale in the store.
