"Rayma Jo 'Jody' Smith, 82, of California, Missouri passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Valley Park West California, Missouri. She was born on January 07, 1935 in Columbia, Missouri to William and Lula (Hill) Rule both of whom preceded her in death.

"On August 24, 1956 Jody was married to Harold Dean Smith, who preceded her in death on June 19, 2013. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church. She owned and operated Jody's Ceramics in California for many years. She was a woman of many talents including oil painting, jewelry making; playing the keyboard and guitar, songwriting; singing; and cooking.

"Jody is survived by three daughters, Kella Ettinger (Bill) of Naples, FL, Deana Strein (Dennis) of Jamestown, and Nancy McCloud of Jefferson City; 8 grandchildren, Shane Masters, Heather Masters, David Ettinger, Erica Millitello, Sara Green, Bethany Harris, Nanette Swinskey and Sidney Kaitlyn; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert Masters; 2 brothers and a sister." ~ Find-A-Grave

"He was born April 19, 1928 in Jefferson City, to Otto and Clara (Holzer) Smith.
"On August 24, 1956, Harold was married to Rayma Jo Rule who survives of the home.
"He graduated from California High School in 1946 and the University of Missouri in 1953.
"From 1946-49 Harold served in the United States Army as a Corporal. He retired from the State of Missouri after working as a Medicaid Manager.
"He was a member of the Salem Baptist Church.
"Harold is survived by: three daughters, Kella Ettinger (Bill) of Naples, FL, Deana Strein (Dennis) of Jamestown, and Nancy McCloud of Jefferson City; one sister, Helen Blaine (Jesse) of DeSoto, KS; several nieces and nephews; eight grandchildren, Shane Masters, Heather Masters, David Ettinger, Erica Militello, Sara Green, Bethany Harris, Nanette McCloud and Sydney Kaitlyn; eight great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, Harold was preceded in death by a son Robert Masters.
