The majority of the structure originally known as the Fiduciary Trust Building, 175 Federal Street in Boston, Massachusetts, is supported by seven trusses atop 14 caissons. Of the 17 stories, the upper 12 floors cantilever over a narrow base.

Completed in 1977, the hexagonal office building's six sides are each different lengths. Designed by The Architects Collaborative (TAC), founded by Walter Gropius, had to construct a uniquely-shaped tower that respected property lines and avoided existing street layouts, underground utilities, and the MBTA subway tunnel below the 4-acre plot.
