Abaout the chapel:
Saint Anne is venerated as the mother of Mary. Anna is the saint of married couples, merchants and miners.
Built in 1719, the inscription above the entrance portal: "Sacellum hoc in honorem Dei et ex singulari devotione erga Sanctam Annam aedificatum Anno 1719."
In English: "This chapel was built for the glory of God and out of special love for St. Anna in 1719." Further Latin inscription inside: "DOMS et S. Annae Perillustris et generosus D. Hermannus Ludovicus ab Asseburg Capitaneus et D. in Hindenburg cum intima uxore D. Odl. El. Ab Haxthausen ex Welda sacellum hoc aedificare post obitum ad implendum dicti D. votum relicta eius D. Maria Elisab. de Schell ex Rechen hoc novum ex ipsius mediis exstrui curaverunt. Ao 1719. " In German: "God Almighty and Most High and St. Anna in honor!
The noble-born Herr Hermann Ludwig von Asseburg, Drost und Edelherr zu Hindenburg, in association with his wife Odilie Elisabeth von Haxthausen from Welda, has vowed to build this chapel. After his passing, his widow, Maria Elisabeth zu Schell from Rechen, had it rebuilt from her own resources in 1719 to fulfill this vow.
