This is a sample of hórreos (cabaceiros, canastros, piornos... lot of names) which are elevated constructions in which grain, flour, ham, sausages were stored ... The reason for being elevated is that this way the rodents climbed by the feet and when they reached the top and turned upside down, they fell. The "hórreos" in Galicia, etc. are examples of Atlantic constructions that there are in countries of this ocean or of Celtic traditions.
This hórreo is on the rest area where you can stop and see the overlook.
In this case it is the stone framework, its skeleton, to which the wood will be added later. Here it was ornamental to remember.
