The fact that in recent times the nearby Limonar house has been rehabilitated in order to expand the municipal dependencies is noteworthy.

The text in the plaque of the cronist Servando Fernández say:
eng: "It had to be one of the first of the new Pole of Navia when its foundation or, better, acquisition of the new status, since the town of Navia pre-existed the solemn royal decision. Thus, says José Manuel de Trelles Villademoros, our first genealogist, a native of Salcedo. This old house, which originally had an orchard where the glasses of various lemon trees would stand out, was owned by the powerful Casa de Navía since the end of the 12th century, and it continued to possess it through one of the multiple derivations of its lineage. , once the parent branch was settled in the palace of the Anleo valley in the 13th century. We know that one of its owners was Alvaro Pérez de Navia, in the middle of the 16th century. Some time later it was acquired by the council clerk, Garcia Morán, who in turn sold it to Alonso López de Navia y Bolaño, lord of the Lienes house as mentioned in his will, dated in the year 1599, The current building, fruit of the continuous restorations and extensions of the original one, it can be dated in the 16th-17th centuries. It consists of a tower block house, adorned with well-carved stonework on the main door, openings and corner pieces, resolving the rest of the building with simple slate ashlars. It was owned by the Menéndez Navia and Villamil family, so its noble façade shows the weapons of these last two houses: a warrior with a sword, in the first barracks; royal eagle in the second and third, looking to the right; and castle crenellated in the fourth and last. A few years ago, when the property that the Meritorious Civil Guard had occupied was evicted, it was acquired by the Navia City Council, which proceeded to its successful restoration to accommodate various offices and municipal services in its premises."
