Esp: Se llama así porque en la casa número 8 estuvo ubicado desde el siglo XIV el Hospital de Peregrinos del Santísimo y la Magdalena (de Santiago a partir del siglo XVIII) con una capilla aneja que fue parroquial hasta que en el siglo XIV se construyó en la plaza Mayor la primitiva iglesia. El edificio, reestructurado dos veces, sigue existiendo con su vieja fisonomía.
Eng: It is so called because in house number 8 the Hospital de Peregrinos del Santísimo y la Magdalena was located since the 14th century (of Santiago from the 18th century) with an attached chapel that was parochial until in the 14th century it was built in the Plaza Mayor the primitive church. The building, restructured twice, continues to exist with its old appearance.
