The Early Warning Severe Weather Detection network dates back to 2014 and was fully operational in 2018. Now known as the New York State (NYS) Mesonet, the network has more than 125 sites. The North Hudson (NHUD) site is just south of the High Peaks rest center along I-87 northbound, the Adirondack Northway. The NHUD station has weather data going back to September 2014.
