This 'Welcome to Newton Grove' sign is located southbound Hwy 501 entering Newton Grove, North Carolina. Their slogan is 'Circle of Opportunity'. Newton Grove was chartered in 1879 and first known as New Town at the Grove because of the oak grove in the area. The name was changed to Newton Grove in 1935. The 2000 US census accounted for 606 people living in Newton Grove. It is in close proximity with a ramp to I-40.
