Currently, the Ramón de Campoamor park is one of the busiest in Navia. The figure of the poet is in the center. Nearby there is a plaque with a poem by the shipwright. The park was remodeled during the first term of Ignacio García Palacios (2007-2011) and today it is a meeting point; here, for example, the book fair is held.
The town has other green areas, but not so famous or with so much historical weight: La Olga, popular for its duck farm; Doña Isidora Park, part of the El Ribazo urban expansion area; Alfonso Iglesias, the first in the Northwest to have a free internet connection; the so-called Ordinance Well, discovered during the El Ribazo urbanization works; El Fornel and Los Jardinillos, the latter belonging to the commercial hub of the town of Naviega. To these is added the area dedicated to motorhomes at La Granja, in whose surroundings a recreation area with green spaces has been built.
The last proposal, which could make the park more attractive, is the construction of the promenade of the estuary, which would pass through this historic park. The Navia government seeks funding for the project, while the fight is resolved in the courts with one of the private parties affected by the façade plan and who does not agree with the objectives. The future walk, six meters wide, would connect La Dársena with the first buildings at the entrance of the town.
