The sculpture "Grande Figura Accoccolata" ("Great Crouching Figure") from 1973 shows a naked woman crouching on a ball. It stands on its concrete pedestal in Via VIII Febbraio, a pedestrian zone in Padua. The approximately life-size bronze figure was the first in a series of similar nudes that can be seen in various museums today.

Emilio Greco (* 11 October 1913 in Catania; † 5 April 1995 in Rome) was an Italian sculptor, engraver, writer and poet. He is best known for his monumental bronze sculptures which are located around the world in museums such as - Tate Modern (London), Hermitage (Saint Petersburg) Museu Coleção Berardo (Lisbon), and Hawke's Bay Museum (New Zealand).
