Timothy Green was born 1735, although some show DOB as 1733, Hanover Township, Lancaster County (now Dauphin), PA. Died February 27, 1812 (77), Stoney Creek, Dauphin County, PA. Known family members, father-Robert Green
Husband of Eaffy Robinson Green; Jean Green and Mary Green
Father of Rebecca Barnett; Rosannah Sterrett; Innis Green, and Mary Shaw.
Inscription on headstone:
" SACRED
TO
The Memory of
TIMOTHY GREEN
Who departed this life,
February the 27th 1812
Aged 77 Years." From a nearby historical marker: " In the graveyard to the south rests Timothy Green, officer in the French and Indian War; signer of the Hanover Independence Resolves in June, 1774; an outstanding leader of this region in the Revolution."
