A sculpture of a pair of eastern cottontail rabbits will greet you as you walk the Wildlife Encounter Nature Trail at the Heritage Park of Flower Mound, 600 Spinks Rd, Flower Mound, TX, and there is an interpretive sign to provide some information.

Rabbits are fairly shy, and most of the time, they're standing still as you pass by. If you get a little too close, they'll startle you as they head off in the other direction. They're fairly common.

This sign provides a nice photo of an alert cottontail, along with a physical description and some background as to their eating habits and lifespans. Their paw prints are depicted as well: Compare them with the faux footprints you see in the pavement, giving the illusion that one of the bunnies from the nearby sculpture left them.
