The Dauphin Cemetery is the oldest public Cemetery in Middle Paxton Township, Dauphin County. There are markers dating back to the mid 1750's. It is located on Floral Lane (about 6 miles north of Harrisburg, PA). The old part of the Cemetery is surrounded on the west and north by a wire fence. After years of neglect, it was restored in the 1920's, but noted that more than 75 percent of the tombstones had disappeared or were so badly worn as to be indecipherable. The cemetery is accessible from Claster Blvd in the Borough of Dauphin, turn east onto Floral Lane. Go about two blocks. The cemetery is at the end of the paved road.
