Mishka is a common colloquialism in Russian for a bear; effectively “little bear”.
The mascot for the 1980 Moscow Olymoics was 'Mishka Bear' although not exactly the same form as on this sign.
The sign on the wall says 'Mishka pub established 2018'.
The pub does home cooked food and it was previously the Blue Bell pub and restaurant.
It is on a wharf at the start of the Driffield Canal.
Date of current sign: 2018
