This stone cross is dedicated to the Citizens of Driffield that died in both World Wars.

The memorial is in the form of a stone cross with tapering octagonal shaft. The cross surmounts a two-stepped octagonal pedestal. The whole stands on two-stepped stone base and the head of the cross has ornate carving.

At the base of the cross is the following inscription.
ERECTED BY THE
CITIZENS OF DRIFFIELD
IN MEMORY OF

FOUGHT AND DIED
FOR THEM IN THE
GREAT
