Op de hoek van de Kloosterlaan met de Vierakkerstraat staat een oude stadspomp.
Deze pomp is in 1951 geplaatst ter herinnering aan de tijd dat Huissen nog niet op het waterleiding netwerk was aangesloten.
Dit gebeurde na de tweede wereld oorlog
op deze plek stond vanaf de 14e eeuw een dubbele stadspoort met een binnen- en een buitenpoort.
In juli 2020 heeft de pomp een en de oude gracht van het kasteel een opknapbeurt gekregen. De mooie gerestaureerde hoofdtooi is weer teruggeplaatst.

An old city pump is located on the corner of Kloosterlaan and Vierakkerstraat.
This pump was installed in 1951 to commemorate the time when Huissen was not yet connected to the water supply network.
This happened after the second world war
From the 14th century, a double city gate with an inner and an outer gate stood on this spot.
In July 2020, the pump and the old moat of the castle were renovated. The beautifully restored headdress has been replaced.
