The machine here on display is a wooden washing machine, driven by an electric motor. Water has to be boiled first and then goes into the washing machine.
The four sticks on the rotating shaft ensure the cleaning of the laundry. With the wringer on top of the machine, the laundry can be wrung out to get the water out of it. The residual water flows back into the machine.
The combination of an open electric motor and boiling hot water looks pretty dangerous to me.
Neither on the washing machine itself or the electric motor a manufacturer can be found.
The machine probably dates to around 1930.
